We are again faced with a situation where we are asked by politicians to believe them and not your lying eyes. Specifically concerning information about the Delta variant.
The government would have you believe that the vaccines are extremely effective. They claim that cases of vaccinated people contracting the Delta variant are breakthrough cases that occur in one and ten thousand. They also claim that the vaccinated people will have lessened effects of the virus and much less likelihood of death.
I would like to make a few observations. No I am not a doctor, have not played one on TV nor have have I recently stayed in a Holiday Inn. These are observations in logic, not medicine.
- The shots developed to combat Covid-19 were developed for the first variant, unimaginatively named the Alpha variant.
- These Covid-19 shots were effective against all the other variants before the Delta variant. How do we know this? There was no discussion of breakthrough cases prior to Delta. Vaccinated people went many months prior to Delta without masks and did not contract the virus. That all changed with the Delta variant. Now, breakthrough cases are happening at an alarmingly increasing rate. Fully vaccinated state Democrats recently fled Texas in a confined space (a private plane) without masks. Approximately 10% of those people contracted the Delta variant. That is NOT one in ten thousand like it is being reported by the U.S. government. I find it much more likely that the Delta variant has mutated to a point that the current shots against Covid-19 are not effective (or not as effective if that is scientifically possible).
- Studies are showing that vaccinated people that contract the Delta variant are carrying the same viral load as unvaccinated people.
- I thought a vaccine was engineered to stop the transmission of a specific virus, in this case Covid-19. It stands to reason that, if a vaccine is designed to stop the transmission of a virus, vaccines are not designed with the intent to mitigate the severity of the virus or various symptoms to its host. So, a vaccine is designed to stop the horse from leaving the barn not to create a small corral outside the barn. Any unintended, miraculous side effect of a vaccine that mitigates the severity of break through cases would be surprising (at least to me).
- I find it much easier to believe that current shots are not effective against Delta and were never designed nor are they effective in reducing its effects or symptoms.
- I also believe that history will show that Delta is a much more contagious variant but has less serious effects than other variants to date.
- India, where Delta originated, is not a great example to show the seriousness of the Delta variant. Why? The hospital infrastructure failed and collapsed under the onslaught of the sheer number of people contracting Delta. Hospitals were beyond capacity, there were not nearly enough respirators and they ran out of oxygen for almost two weeks. It was bad enough that they were burning bodies in the street. A question that will never be answered is, “How many people would have recovered if respirators and oxygen were available?”
- So, the government should not be acting like policemen on the side of the road by an accident waving cars by saying, “Nothing to see here, move along.” They should be ensuring respirators are properly distributed and there are sufficient supplies of oxygen. Depending on how strongly you feel about the coming wave, elective surgeries should be postponed and non critical patients should be sent from hospitals to open up beds and free up medical staff.
A final point. The government has recently been trying to withhold data and information concerning the pandemic. There is nothing about information concerning Covid-19 that should be secret or withheld from the American people. The only justification for classifying Covid-19 is a political one. That should scare everyone. It is not the time when the government is creating invasive edicts about the people’s behavior to withhold the underlying data that may justify such edicts. When asked recently Psaki refused to answer how many staffers and Texas State Democrats have come down with Delta. The only reason to not pass that information when asked is for political reasons.
