The FBI is becoming the American KGB

A group representing school boards sent a letter to the President requesting him to classify outraged parents that are currently attending school board meetings as potential domestic terrorists. The President turned around and did exactly that. He tasked the FBI to investigate irate parents at school board meetings as potential domestic terrorists. There are several major issues with this turn of events. Let’s break it down:

  • For perceived political gain or making good on a favor, Biden has weaponized the FBI against the American public. If local school boards are being threatened, it is an issue with the local police, not a federal issue.
  • The head of the FBI, Christopher Wray, should have declined or at least pushed back on the politicization of the FBI.
  • The FBI are utilizing resources that track actual terrorists. This will take resources dedicated for real threats and split their focus and time.
  • Labeling involved parents “domestic terrorists” is a calculated move to silence political dissent. Let’s be clear, potential terrorists (foreign or domestic) are investigated and (maybe more damaging for American citizens) put on a watch list. Being on a watch list could affect how many times you are body cavity searched on a traffic stop or how many years in a row you get audited by the IRS or even affect your ability to fly/travel interstate. Once accused, even if an investigation shows your complete innocence, it will take years and thousands of dollars in legal fees to get your name removed from the terrorist watch list. It is absolutely detesting that our government is knowingly throwing that accusation at Americans so cavalierly.
  • If the teacher’s unions and this school board association can request and receive influence in CDC guidance (teacher’s unions) or weaponization of the FBI (school board associations), do these organizations exert way too much power and influence in the Democratic Party?
  • Why in the he)) do local school boards need some kind of association? Does this association represent school boards or are they used to disseminate guidance down to the local level? Has this association of school boards been co-opted by the Democratic Party just like the teacher’s unions?
  • Not to help Biden but this “Everything is political” mantra of the Biden administration is pure hubris on display and self destructive to boot. I get it, the Trump supporters are never going to support Biden or his progressive (I say communist) agenda. So Biden loses very little politically by polarizing that group and it actually energizes his base. Unfortunately for Biden, he fails to recognize the Republican party is not a monolithic Trump supporting party. By lumping all conservatives as deplorable, stupid, racist, xenophobic inbred Trump supporters he alienates millions of people that may have been at least willing to listen to him. If you look at the actual data, the vaccine hesitant span across all demographics. By lumping the vaccine hesitant as Trump supporting murderers he alienates millions more. Millions of whom are Independents and Democrats. By adopting an open southern border policy and unlimited illegal migration, Biden has alienated millions more including people in the south directly impacted by this crisis. Since illegal aliens take many of the unskilled jobs in construction, home improvement, landscaping, painting and the service industry, lower income Americans should also be disgusted. By improperly siding with school boards and weaponizing the FBI against concerned parents, Biden is greatly upsetting a large percentage of mama bears. If he thinks that is going to turn out well he is a lot less intelligent than I thought. It actually brings to mind a quote.

I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve.

It is a coin toss to decide if the political weaponization of the FBI against American citizens is more heinous than against an innocent presidential candidate. In either case, these are major steps down the road to authoritarianism. All we need are a few gulags (Russia) or re-education camps (China) to go full Monty authoritarian.
